Solo Exhibition
White Guilt is a series of mixed media artworks, objects and collages focusing on issues of cultural appropriation and performative allyship. The works are exploring perspectives on racism in a post-colonial context, looking for new approaches to perceiving identity and personality in terms of heritage and color of skin. Furthermore the works are a self-critical exercise in bringing awareness to a "trending" performative allyship approach when it comes to political activism, such as the Black Lives Matter movement, and are trying to identify and dismantle non-authentic solidarity in a eurocentric environment.

White Guilt ist eine Serie von Mischtechnikarbeiten, Objekten und Collagen, die sich inhaltlich mit den Themen kulturelle Aneignung und performative allyship auseinander setzt. Die Arbeiten suchen nach neuen Perspektiven und Herangehensweisen zum Thema Rassismus, Aus- und Abgrenzung, Wahrnehmung von Identität und Persönlichkeit auf Grund von Herkunft und Hautfarbe in einem post-kolonialen Kontext. Weiters wird performativer politischer Aktivismus v.a. im Zuge der Protestbewegung Black Lives Matter sowie gespielte/performative Solidarität online und auf sozialen Medien aus einer selbstkritischen "eurozentrischen" Perspektive näher betrachtet.
